Once you have finished watching the video above, complete the following tasks.

• Open one of your scrap writing documents.
• Write, in your own words, pick a key quote from one of your texts and analyse it while ensuring you address the following criteria:
  • Begin with a topic sentence, introducing the key idea about your paragraph.
  • Name the technique the author uses in the quote.
  • Embed the quote in a sentence + any ideas is demonstrates, portrays, illustrates, etc
  • Zoom in and perceptively/insightfully analyse an individual word, sound, etc
  • Explore, in detail, the effects of the author’s methods on the reader.
  • Explore some possible reasons why the author may have wanted to create these effects.
