    1. When you know many correct definitions, you will be able to communicate easily and effectively, while also being able to understand texts about complicated topics.

    2. Literature is made up of fictional and nonfictional stories and poems, which make us learn about the complexities and contradictions of the world, what it means to live in this world and to learn about ourselves by thinking about universal human experiences and issues.

    3. The 100% model answer talks about the challenges of childhood and growing up and explores it in the rest of the essay.

    4. This extract explores what it means to be human since it talks about growing up which is a universal experience and we’ve all been or are in childhood

    5. In literature gardens represent a perfect world and peace. Wendy playing in a garden could symbolise that she is living in a perfect world with an innocent life in a state of peace and beatitude.

    6. I think that this extract scored 100% because of these three reasons: it talks about the symbolism of some words, for example, garden symbolises a perfect world; it talks about some concepts in the extract, for example, childhood and growing; and it also talked about the deeper meaning behind the text, the foreshadowing of Wendy’s future from the word ‘pluck’.

1.When having a good understanding of definitions you are able to understand a lot of things better as well as this they allow you to feel more confident in your reading and writing and allow you to interpret the English language a lot better.

2.Literature is a way of depicting a specific view of humanity through a character and exploring moral issues and conflicts. As well as this literature has many different examples from a variety of novels to drama and even poetry and they all have a way of describing humanity or lifestyle.

3.It tells us about the concept of growing up and how some children may not be able to grow up as easy as others. Also including the struggles along the way.

4.The aspect explored is universal human experiences as it is able to explain how in a family not all children will grow up the same and some may not even grow up depending on how they are treated or disciplined.

5.In literature gardens are seen as calm and collective places and they are also seen as a place of worship so when the author depicts her playing in a garden it is symbolizing her playing in a safe and calm environment.

6)1.The model answer is able to analyse the meaning of the first sentence perceptively.

2.As well as this the model answer is able to depict 3 meanings of a garden in literature.

3.Finally the model answer is able to explain the struggles and difficulties that Wendy had to go through to survive even at the young age that she was at.

    1) When you have a good understanding of definitions you will find it easier to communicate and understand complicated words.

<i style=””>2) Literature comprises poetry and stories, both fiction and non-fiction, which force us to confront and learn about the complexities and contradictions of the world, what it means to be a human being in this difficult and uncertain world, to confront and learn about other people who may be unlike us, and ultimately to confront and learn about ourselves, often by responding to the universal human experiences of the religious as well as social and political issues of a particular era.

    3) It explores the difficulties of growing up.

    4) We were all children once upon a time and we all experienced childhood and the aspect was a universal experience.

    5) It symbolises Wendy playing in the garden that’s she having a nice life and having fun and lives in a world of peace.

1 I believe that knowing a good amount of definitions is essential for good learning because definitions provide important information that you will need in life; for example having a good set of vocabulary gives you a more formal and elaborate tone when writing, not conversational language. It also strengthens your vocabulary which is vital for communication, listening, speaking, writing and reading. It also helps if you know as it will help with reading, literature or analysing texts. Research shows that you need to know approximately 95% for a vast majority of texts, however some advanced texts would need 98% to acknowledge the text.

2 Literature expresses many thoughts, ideas and opinions of the world; it opens us to a world of political and social ways of communicating with humans who may not be the same race, gender or even religion as you. Overall we all have the same experiences.

3 The 100% model indicates to us that the garden represents beauty, purity and youth amongst other ideas.

4 One aspect the sophiclys definition explains is that it’s difficult to be human in this uncertain world with all these political and complex stuff we have to deal with.

5 The symbolic meaning of Wendy playing in the garden is that it shows us purity, beauty, and even Wendy’s innocence.

6 In my opinion, I think that the model answer deserves 100% because he uses the PETAL structure and utilizes many daforeset techniques such as facts, statistics and similes.

    1. Possessing good, thorough definitions helps you to further understand different texts or stories but also helps with your writing. It also helps build your confidence in speaking.

    2. The Sophicly definition of literature: Literature comprises poetry and stories, both fiction and non-fiction, which force us to confront and learn about the complexities and contradictions of the world, what it means to be a human being in this difficult and uncertain world, to confront and learn about other people who may be unlike us, and ultimately to confront and learn about ourselves, often by responding to the universal human experiences of the religious as well as social and political issues of a particular era.

    3. The concept of the first paragraph describes childhood and growing up.

    4. One aspect of the Sophicly’s definition explains that it’s hard to be human in this uncertain world as we are ‘unaware of the corrupting forces of adulthood’.

    5. A garden is often symbolised as youth, childhood and innocence. The garden is describing how Wendy is in her childhood, young and oblivious to all the corruption and politics that there is in the world.

    6. The model scored 100 percent because of the way they have structured it , for example ,’Barrie begins the novel’ and ‘In the first paragraph’. Great analysis ,’we can understand the author’s choice of the verb ‘pluck’’. They also describe the effect of the author’s choices and how it affects the reader ,’one is its onomatopoeic effect, appealing to the reader’s sense of hearing’.
