We realize that everyone eventually has to grow up and no one can stay the same age. The phrase “Oh, why can’t you remain like this for ever!” This suggests that she is upset about the fact that you have to grow up. It’s impossible no matter what.

This extract shows what it means to be a human in this uncertain and difficult world since Mr and Mrs Darling’s love for Wendy overcomes their fear of having too many mouths to feed.

That eventually, everyone has to grow up and move on with life. The quote, “All children, except one, grow up. They soon know that they will grow up, and the way Wendy knew was this”. This shows that it’s impossible to stay the same age.

This extract shows what it means to be human and how everyone grows up. Mrs. Darling says to Wendy, Oh, why can’t you stay like this forever.’ This shows to us that Mrs. Darling says this as she knows that Wendy will grow up and not stay like this forever.

This extract shows how hard it is to acknowledge that everybody has to grow in life . The quote, “Oh, why can’t you remain like this for ever!” shows how Mrs Darling knows that at one point Wendy will grow and that she’ll miss Wendy’s younger self.
